Ashgrove Group Practice

Appointments

This is a Group Practice and as such you may see any of the doctors. The whole practice team meet regularly to exchange information in order to provide the best possible services and continuity of care to our patients.

If you wish to see a doctor or nurse you must make an appointment.

At present we offer the following appointment types –

  • On the day
  • Pre-bookable
  • Telephone consultations – 8wks pre-bookable
  • Early appointments with Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Tue/Wed/Thurs from 7:30am
  • DUTY DOCTOR AVAILABLE 8am – 6pm MON-FRI FOR ANY EMERGENCIES / HOME VISITS

Appointments are booked through our message based system which opens from 8am till 3pm.  When you call up the practice or come to the desk looking for an appointment, the receptionist will take your details as well as a list of symptoms.  You will then either be offered an appointment with the appropriate health professional or your details will be passed on to the doctor to decide the best course of action for you.

If your information is passed to a doctor you will either be called back by the GPs themselves to discuss your issues over the phone, or by a member of the practice staff who will book the most appropriate appointment for you.

You can book an appointment by phoning the surgery on 01506 657130. Please note our appointments are available to book from 08:00am till 03:00pm, Monday to Friday and that all face to face GP appointments are booked using this system.  Any booking requests after 3:00pm are for medical emergencies only.
