The travel vaccines
There’s no point spending hours choosing your swimwear, beach bag and flip-flops if you barely think about the bugs and other health risks that could ruin your holiday.
Nurses can provide the NHS vaccines as per the vaccine transformation program: Hep A, Dip/tet/pol, typhoid and cholera. They will also have the opportunity access other medications they may require such as yellow fever, rabies and malaria tablets – a full list of services is shown on our website.
We have sites at the Western General Hospital, Mountcastle Health Centre, Sighthill Health Centre, Strathbrock Partnership Centre (West Lothian) and East Lothian Community Hospital and should be confirming services within Midlothian in future.
What’s available on the NHS?
Travel vaccinations are not routinely dealt with by General Practice. Private travel clinics and communities pharmacies can provide travel advice and travel vaccinations.
