Flu season is now upon us and here at Ashgrove Group Practice we will be providing our flu clinics slightly differently this year. This is to adhere to the current restrictions in place and ensure the safety of both patients and staff at all times.
We will be holding our clinics on Saturday mornings throughout October and possibly November too
Our clinics are for those patents who are eligible for the flu vaccination only. Every patient that falls in to the eligibility category will receive a letter advising to contact the Practice for an appointment.
Please do not phone unless you have received a letter
Once you have an appointment we will require you to attend as close to your appointment time as possible. Please do not arrive too early.
We also require you to wear a face covering
Children’s nasal flu will be given by nurseries and schools on the 28th and 29th of September. If your child misses this they will be vaccinated during a catch up session later in the year. The practice is not able to provide nasal flu this year.
If you are aged 60 to 64, or will be by 31 March 2021, you’ll be invited to get the free flu vaccine in early December. Please telephone the practice to book an appointment.
If you are in this age group and have already received a flu vaccine since September 2020 then there is no need to attend another flu vaccination appointment.
If you are aged 55 to 59, or will be by 31 March 2021, more information will be provided later in December.
